Capacity Building Training Concluded at
EIIPD

The Ethiopian International Institute for peace and
Development has successfully conducted its second round of Capacity
building training this year on the themes, Protocol and Etiquette,
Conference organization, norms of diplomatic Intercourse and
Communication skills, from July 14 – 18, 2008, at its head quarters.

The Institute, since its establishment in 1996,
runs regular training programmes seminars and workshops aimed at
upgrading professional skills in international relations by providing
the necessary tools in order to achieve success. |
The
interactive five – day seminar covered activity based Protocol and
Etiquette guides which addressed:

Cultivating a Professional image.

Social Skills
v
Communication Skills
v
Cermonial Protocol
v
Business Etiquette
v
Projecting global awareness,
v
Customer Service Etiquette,
v
Dinning Etiquettes and Table Manners,
v
Office and Telephone Etiquette,
v
Awareness of the unwritten codes of business,
v
Do’s and taboos of day – to – day life.
v
Rules, procedures and practices of Conference Organization.
v
Diplomatic Privileges and Immunities and Case studies on
Violation and abuse of the privileged diplomatic staff members.

Our training team, known for its excellence
conducted the seminar with active participation of the trainees in
case analysis, role play and constructive discussion on all topics.

The participants of the
seminar were officials and staff members of the Ministry of Tramsport and
Communication, Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, Federal Ethics and
Anti-Corruption Commission, Co-operative Bank of Oromia and Embassy of the
Republic of South Africa.
The
Ethiopian International Institute for peace and Development is pleased to
announce that the training on same themes will continue as demand is
rising nationwide to aquire the knowledge and skills.
